Bluetooth Daughter Card slot

The Bluetooth Daughter Card (BDC) slot is a proprietary slot replacing the CDC slot that was once used to provide Bluetooth as a secondary function. This slot can be found implemented on motherboards/display cables using the Hirose DF12B(3.0)-14DP-0.5V connector.

Overview

All BDCs will work on any ThinkPad that has this slot, as its pin-out has never changed throughout its lifetime. This is also one of the few expansion slots that is not crippled by a BIOS/UEFI whitelist.

The BDC slot's pin-out can be seen here: BDCSLOT PINOUT.png (click on the image to maximize it)
