  1. DVD+R and DVD+RW discs are supported for all drives, with the exception of the GCC-4240N-IMB0 if its firmware has not been updated to 0214. These drives are generally left on firmware 0213, which does not support DVD+R and DVD+RW discs.

Firmware

A bootable CD firmware update is available for this drive, which updates the GCC-4240N-IMB0 and GCC-4240N-IMC0's firmware to 0214 and 1203 respectively.

Linux support

If connected at boot time, the drive is normally /dev/sr0.
