I just installed Slackware 10.1 on a ThinkPad 560E. My machine has 80MB RAM and a 4GB hard disk.
The external floppy from many ThinkPads works on the 560E. I used that to boot the machine.
I used Fizban's FTP installation method, and it worked with no problems. X Windows is working, but I haven't tried Gnome or KDE due to the limited memory.
Audio works fine after using alsaconf.
The machine will be used as a wireless MP3 player.
