My Combo II Drive is not a Panasonic, but in fact a Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Inc. It is model GCC-4242N with firmware 0201. It reports capability to read +RW -RW and RAM. It does a good job, recognises my +RW and RAM discs in less time than some other drives take to recognise. It is FRU P/N 13N6769 and ASM P/N 13N6768, a curved T40-style bezel.
The Dangerous Brothers made a RPC1 firmware for this drive. Firmware request for HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4242N 0201
