The orinoco_pci driver in the kernel still experimental for the mini pci card. I had experimented issues transferring big files over the wireless card. It has been recommended to use the hostap driver instead.

Some people have experienced stability issues transfering large files, the alternative hostap driver handles such problems a little bit better, but still suffers from it.

Some people have suggested that upgrading the firmware will solve the problem.
