This is an Intel northbridge.

Supports the following processors:
- Intel Mobile Pentium III
- Intel Mobile Celeron
Supports the following memory modules, up to a maximum of 256 MB:
- PC-133 (will be limited to PC-100 speeds)¹
- PC-100¹
- PC-66¹
Front Side Bus (FSB): 100 MHz

The 82443MX is incapable of addressing more than 256MB on a single RAM module, which causes ThinkPads that use this chip to max out at 256MB.

This chipset is supported by recent 2.4 and 2.6 kernels
