TV-Out Port

Over the years, IBM used two different ports to provide TV-Out connection. These are:

  • proprietary mini plug, requiring an adapter cable
  • S-Video port

Composite video is caried on the inner-left pin of the socket (in a ThinkPad). An official converter cable exists (FRU PN 27L0531, other PN 27L0532).

Hint:
Need Composite output? Cheap S-Video to Composite adapters can be found in most electronic stores, and can be built using the appropriate connectors and just one capacitor.

This cable can also be used with:

  • Dell Inspiron 9200
