I have submitted patches to linuxwacom and they need testing you can see this discussion here[1]

The WACOM Digitizer Pad may work with the standard Linux WACOM support in recent distributions.

The WACOM Digitizer Pad on the Thinkpad W700 works out of the box with Ubuntu 10.10. (Providing, of course, you know how to draw.)
