HDAPS Harddisk Parking Got very easy to handle with lucid, the module is now recompiled at any kernel-install using DKMS, just install and reboot:
$ sudo aptitude install tp-smapi-dkms hdapsd
now just wait until next reboot, if you can't wait:
# modprobe tp-smapi; /etc/init.d/hdapsd restart
WiFi
- Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212: Kernel panic (flashing caps lock) with Ath5k and Network Manager. Uninstall NM and installing WICD seems to have resolved for now. System working fine before upgrading from Karmic.
Upgrade from 9.10
Reboot failed due to mount problems with LVM. One of my logical volumes was added a second time to /etc/fstab. I'm still getting boot problems but can safely Skip the error message on boot screen to complete the startup.
Thunderbird upgrade from v2 to v3 caused many plug-in's to stop working. Many had newer versions available (that had to be manually installed).
