Screenshot of download page of Ubuntu. Users of the Z61m laptops need to download the "alternate desktop CD" to install the text only version and then download and install the ATI drivers from the command line.

The alternate desktop CD does still install GNOME and all the default GUIs. However, to use them, the user needs to install ATI's fglrx driver.
