Installation

The X60 has no external devices so an installation from USB disk has to be carried out. For the preparation of the USB disk the instructions for Install Ubuntu on Usb-bar was followed. The installer system was built on a ScanDisk (SDHC) 4.0 GB SD Memory Card. A Micromate Reader is part of the package, allowing to connect the memory card to the USB bus of the X60. In this configuration the SD card can be IPLed.
