NOTE!
Each Thinkpad Model comes with a Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) (as 128-bit number) that is stored in the EPROM of the system board. Support personell is guided to explicitly restore this UUID if they change your system board. Because of the character of a unique id combined with a portable computer, this UUID can be used to track you.
