fglrx and ati work out of the box. Use fglrxconfig to create a xorg.conf.
ThinkPad LCD
Display on the internal LCD works as long as you set the monitor settings correct.
External VGA port
Not yet testet, but fglrxconfig asks for it, so ill assume that it works
SVideo port
same as External VGA
DVI port

Proprietary ATI driver
ATI has a proprietary driver with 3D acceleration on their support website support.ati.com.
