Linux driver
The newest and recommended driver is the snd_intel8x0m (SND_INTEL8X0M) included in Alsa (tested in a X31 with Debian Etch). It will work with the smartlink modem userspace daemon (sl-modem-daemon package).
One of the bigger advantages of this driver is that is free (GPL) and will not taint the kernel.
The Linux driver from SmartLink may work.
Latest version of this driver is 2.9.10 and supports both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
Otherwise try using the slightly dated ltmodem driver for Linux.
The latest version of this driver is 8.31a10 and supports both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
