The ThinkPad® 9.5mm SATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter IV (also known as ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter IV) is used to contain the 2.5-inch Serial ATA hard disk drive.  This is an adapter to connect an additional [[Hard_disk_drives#T440p_bracket|ThinkPad system hard disc drive (with attached bracket)]] to the ThinkPad α#40 Mainstreambay.  Drive bracket is not included: that measly piece of plastic will need to be purchased separately.
