Hey,
Has anyone tried to hookup a large external LCD to a notebook with this chip? By large I mean resolutions like 1680x1050 or 1920x1200. According to nVidia's specs the chip should be able to run such resolutions in analogue, but I wonder if anyone has actually tried this.

I use 1680x1050 20" LCD via DVI (on dock) and directly via D-SUB. No problems here. Nvidia can handle up to 2500x1400 or little bit greater resolution.

The nv driver does not support the Quadro 140M NVS. You need to use the proprietary nVidia driver. This is not a shortcoming of the chip or the computer. Don't torture yourself with the VESA fallback driver. - patson
