IBM Partnumbers
IBM FRU PN (WW): 91P7418, 93P3477
IBM FRU PN (USA, Canada, Taiwan): 91P7416, 93P3475
Also known (in IBM literature) as....
- 802.11b/g Ambit wireless card
- 802.11 b/g Clymer Wireless Card
- ThinkPad 11b/g Wi-Fi wireless
Linux WiFi driver
This adapter should be automatically supported in recent distributions with the ath5k driver. However this driver might be unstable unless you have at least kernel 2.6.29.
Alternatively the Madwifi driver works with this adapter.
- LEDs might not light up: see http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/UserDocs/EnableLEDs
Madwifi driver works fine on R51e, but the antenna seems to stay switched off after suspend to disk and cannnot be activated without a reboot. Somewhat annoying, shutting down the device before suspend to disk does not solve the problem.
