This is a Intel ICH8 I/O Controller Hub
Features
- SATA-300
- ATA-133 IDE
- PCI Express x1
- PCI bus 2.3 32-bit, 33MHz
- Ethernet MAC
- USB 2.0
Linux support
This chipset is supported for the most part by recent 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
SATA support however still has issues. See Problems with SATA and Linux
