The CF Card slot (CompactFlash) is found on select ThinkPads.
This is a CF+ Type II slot.
PCMCIA based CompactFlash
This is implemented as a PCMCIA device, that can support both CF memory cards, and CF IO cards (e.g. Bluetooth or WiFi).
Linux support
This is handled by the Linux PCMCIA subsystem.

This is implemented as a USB device, and can only support CF memory cards.
