ThinkPad E seriesThe E series (formerly Edge series, also formerly Edge E series) was developed as a direct successor of the discontinued SL series, which was a consumer-orientated successor of the long-gone R series. The E series continues to apply the design principles that was used in the earlier SL series models, mainly from the SL300, SL400, and the SL500.
