Hey,
Has anyone tried to hookup a large external LCD to a notebook with this chip? By large I mean resolutions like 1680x1050 or 1920x1200. According to nVidia's specs the chip should be able to run such resolutions in analogue, but I wonder if anyone has actually tried this.

I use 1680x1050 20" LCD via DVI (on dock) and directly via D-SUB. No problems here. Nvidia can handle up to 2500x1400 or little bit greater resolution.

I just installed Debian on a ThinkPad T61 with this video card and nv does not work! I had to use vesa.

The nv driver does not support the Quadro 140M NVS. You need to use the proprietary nVidia driver. This is not a shortcoming of the chip or the computer. Don't torture yourself with the VESA fallback driver. - patson
