Clipping Errors with mplayerplug-in and Firefox
In my case (Gentoo on X31) I could eliminate these problems by setting the option "vo=x11" in /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf. It seems that the option "vo=xv" causes these problems. The setting "vo=gl2" does not work correctly, too.
