Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205

This is a Mini-PCI Express WiFi Adapter, supported by the iwlagn driver (iwlwifi for kernel 3.2+).

Linux support

This card is supported out of the box on kernel 2.6.37 and newer.

  • Ubuntu maverick (10.10, 2.6.35 kernel) requires the linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless-2.6.37-maverick-generic(-pae) package, and the up-to-date linux-firmware package (1.38.4 known to work).
  • Ubuntu natty (11.04, 2.6.38) should work out of the box.
  • Gentoo (as of 2013-10-10, kernel 3.11.4) requires the sys-firmware/iwl6005-ucode package.
